Lease Extensions & Enfranchisement
Lease Extensions & Enfranchisement
When properties are sold they fall into one of two categories: leasehold, or freehold. If you purchase a freehold property you own both the property and the land on which it stands. However, if you purchase a leasehold property you only own the property, but the land on which it is built is owned by the freeholder.
You have the right to own the property for as long as the lease is valid, and when the lease is due to expire then you have two options:
- Extend the length of your lease
- Purchase the freehold to your property
Here at MHHP Solicitors we have a team of highly experienced property lawyers who are able to handle matters such as leasehold extension, freehold purchasing, and enfranchisement.
We would be more than happy to discuss your property matters with you. Your initial, informative half-hour consultation is only £60 plus VAT@20%. Find the answers you have been looking for, today!
